Nicholas Allen

Nicholas co-founded Allen Partners in 2009 and has 35 years’ experience in the investment banking and asset management industry in Australasia. Following a successful strategy of establishing a market entry blueprint and raising over $5b in capital from local institutions for Eaton Vance, in late 2012 Nicholas accepted the role of Managing Director and Country Head for Eaton Vance, including Parametric and Hexavest in Australia while remaining as a Director of Allen Partners. Nicholas returned to a full-time role at Allen Partners in late 2014.

Prior to co-founding Allen Partners, Nicholas was Head of Alternative Asset Management for Bank of America Merrill Lynch Australia (BAML) responsible for the distribution of equity derivatives and alternative products to the Australian retirement saving market.

Prior to BAML, Nicholas was General Manager Distribution and Marketing Asia-Pacific for Colonial First State Global Asset Management responsible for distribution, investment services and investor relations within Australia and Asia and a member of Colonial First State Global Asset Management’s, Management Committee. Previous roles with Prudential Funds Management, Deutsche Bank, Bankers Trust, and Citibank.

Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University (USA) and a Graduate Certificate in Banking from UTS and is a Fellow of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST).

Nicholas is married to Yasmin Allen and has three adult children.
