Steve is currently Director-Government and Industry Liaison with the Investor Group on Climate Change (Australia & NZ) and was a member of the steering committee and investor group that developed the UN PRI in 2006. From 2000 to 2008, Steve was CEO of ARIA (formerly PSS/CSS now known as the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation) the superannuation (pension) schemes for federal government employees, with over $A20bn assets under management. Previously, Steve was Executive Officer of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) and has broad experience in industrial relations and superannuation in both private and public sectors with an earlier career was in the trade union movement. Board roles include Hastings Funds Management, Westpac Funds Management, Chairman of Australian Income Protection Pty Ltd, Chairman of the ACT Division Committee of the Australian Superannuation Funds Association, Chairman of the Responsible Investment Academy, Committee of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI), and the ASX Corporate Governance Council.
